The first brush strokes

Ah. The office-turning-study echos. Only the glass-front bookcase and the desk remain in the room. And, the walls are no longer golden fleece. Actually, they're primer at the moment, the original paint a gloss requiring a coat of primer to insure the new color stays put. In other words, we spent the better part of the day continuing our preparations to paint.

No complaints. Both of us, though a little sore here at the end of the day, managed to get through those continued preparations without mishap. Quite an accomplishement, if I do say so myself.
